I selected ACS for our modular cleanroom application based on Product Quality and Price. I discussed the options available from each of the companies I had quote the project. I felt ACS had the best solution for our needs.

FAQs About Cleanroom Manufacturing

Q: Where Is Your Cleanroom Factory Located?

A: American Cleanroom Systems factory is located in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.  All modular cleanroom and softwall cleanroom manufacturing is done at this location. Customers are welcome to tour our demonstration cleanroom, design center, and factory.

Q: How Do You Manufacture Your Cleanroom Wall Systems?

A: American Cleanroom Systems offers a wide variety of cleanroom wall materials. The factory glues wall skins (melamine, FRP, painted aluminum, stainless steel or vinyl gyp board) to the modular wall core (honeycomb, aluminum honeycomb, polystyrene, urethane or gypsum board). After drying, the panels are cut to the exact sizes required for a customer design. Cleanroom wall openings in panel for return air grills, pass thru’s, and make-up air grills are then cut in factory. Openings for light switches, electrical outlets, and data ports are cut into the cleanroom aluminum connecting posts and j-boxes are installed. By doing all this ahead of time in factory, we speed up the cleanroom install time and eliminate messy cutting in the field.

Q: Where Do You Manufacture Your Cleanroom Doors and Cleanroom Windows?

A: American Cleanroom is unique in that we manufacture our cleanroom doors and windows in our factory. This allows us to manufacture custom door sizes, control quality, and speed up manufacturing. In cases of specialty motorized sliding doors and motorized roll up doors – American Cleanroom Systems only purchases from the highest quality made in USA manufacturers.

Q: What Percentage of Your Modular Cleanrooms Are Made in the USA?

A: 99% of American Cleanroom Systems modular cleanrooms are made in the USA. In addition to our cleanroom modular walls systems doors and windows: our HEPA fan filter units, ACS 2” ceiling grid, pass thru’s, air showers, cleanroom flooring, softwall cleanroom vinyl curtains, laser blackout curtains, and DX air conditioning systems are all manufactured in USA. The only significant cleanroom item not manufactured in the USA is flat panel LED lights.

Q: Do You Have a Written Quality Program for Your Cleanroom Manufacturing?

A: Yes. As a cleanroom supplier to US government entities such as US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Labs, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, NASA Cape Canaveral, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and NIST, American Cleanroom Systems has to maintain the highest quality standards. We also supply cleanrooms to demanding pharmaceutical CGMP customers like Regeneron, Roche Scientific, Merk, Baxter, Allergan and Johnson & Johnson. As part of our quality program, we are AVETTA certified.

Q: Do You Do Preventive Maintenance on Your Manufacturing Equipment?

A: American Cleanroom Systems conducts monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance on all its manufacturing equipment. Factory trained technicians are utilized whenever possible, to maintain the highest quality cleanroom standards.

Q: How Do You Guarantee That My Cleanroom Will Meet the Designed ISO14644-1 / FED Standard 209E Classification?

A: Upon completion and turn on of the cleanroom, our technicians perform “As Built” particle test on each room to ensure it meets classification. The tests are per ISO 14644-1. Our cleanroom laser particle counters are calibrated annually with NIST traceable standards.
